New to carts and I need some help.
Hello all,
I am new to the golf cart world and I have a few questions. I mainly bought a golf cart to take with us on camping trips, mainly to Myrtle Beach at OceanLakes. I looked around on craigslist and bought a 1989 Club Car. It has 2011 year US Battery 2200's and it is lifted with 22'' tires. My questions are, what is this cart considered, (series or resistor, etc) and can I just send my motor to PQ and have the "bandit" modification without upgrading anything else on the cart? I'm sorry if my questions are simple minded but I tried to search for this information and really didn't find the answers I was looking for. Thanks in advance for your help. |

Welcome to BGW.
Yes plum quick can upgrade your motor with the bandit upgrade and you don't need to change anything. If its not already done i would recommend 4 gauge wires also since your cart is lifted. You should see a difference once you make those two modifications. |

A 1989 Club Car is a resistor coil cart. It is a series drive system.

Thanks for the help guys. Hopefully I can get my motor sent off before June when we go to the beach. Really don't need a fast cart there though. Speed limit is 10mph on the campsite.
Thanks again. |

Coils, series cart. Yes PQ can help you with a bandit motor. 10MPH yes, do you really believe that though! You don't need a fast cart.... That's funny right there. Where are you located and what part of June will you be there. I will be down the last week of June and staying until the week after the 4th of July. |

Yea that place get's crazy during the summer. I go up there pretty often when I'm down there. Make sure you have the insurance on the cart when you go.

I have a 1989 ezgo golf cart. It ran fine for a long time. Then wouldn't start, won't turn over. Battery is good.
