Default Battery question for the experts

I am new to carts. Recently purchased a Yamaha G22. Batteries were older, at full charge showed 51.0. All batteries were within .1v of each other. Two laps around the yard and voltage went to 50.2. 2 more laps, to 50.0. (Approx 400yds per lap.) When hooked up to the charger the 80% light didnt come on for a while. I replaced the batteries.......same issue. Should batteries draw down this fast?????? I havent really taken the cart for an extended run, but this seems like excessive battery drain to me. Any thoughts appreciated!

normal. all lead acid batteries dip in voltage when initially put on a load. this will likely be less noticeable as the batteries start to break in.

Question Re: Battery question for the experts

Yes the first 8-10 cycles the batteries will act as though they are older batteries once they mature they will hold a longer deeper charge.
Just make sure you let the charger fully charge them whenever possible and don't disconnect it for a short ride always let it fully charge if possible.
