Default PQ executioner. 14 mph. Something is wrong

Okay.....

Bough the allrax 500 and the executioner for sale on here. Installed both, was seeing 26mph with stock wheels/tires... I was expecting a bit more, but the real problem was my notchy MCOR- I couldn't dial out the jerky takeoff no matter how I adjusted everything.

I have to go offshore tomorrow, and there's no way I was going to leave the cart with my wife as it was, so I re-installed the stock curtis controller... and I guess I got encoder-regulated back down to 14 mph. (speed code 3)

I thought the executioner would come with the magnet that fools the controller into allowing speeds past what speed code is set in there?? Help.

Greg

Do you feel the regen braking kicking in? If so then it could be the magnet, if not your MCOR isn't going to 100% throttle..........if it's the magnet I can send you a replacement at no charge, you can pm me and I'll do what I can for you to make sure you get the right one.

something to note: I may have wired the motor backwards- with the alltrax, I was getting half speed. I had to disable the 1/2 speed reverse.. can you wire the motor backwards, without having the F1 and F2 connections backwards? Should be easy enough to swap leads to test...???

I don't think it's the MCOR, as per GPS it will actually run up to 16mph, and then 'regulate' itself back down to 14 or so... very odd.

If your cart ID starts with PH, PD or PU..........that's the issue, it has a Excel (gray) controller. The Excel controller has extra regen braking that has to be turned off.. the high speed magnets don't trick the Excel controllers.......FSIP can remove ALL regen braking from these controllers.
