Default Amp fan to COOL controller?

Has anyone tried a "Stinger" crossflow fan as a controller fan?

I am just wondering if this needs to be on top of the controller, beside it or what?

Looks like a pretty decent way to get some airflow. I had two small 12vdc pancakes avove it before and didn't notice it helping any........

They also have a "controller".

Cool Re: Amp fan to COOL controller?

A heat sink will do more for it than the fan by itself.

Wink Re: Amp fan to COOL controller?

I bought some a few years ago but don't have any pictures of it. Just never took any. I bought it off E-Bay.
Look pretty close to this.

Yea well I'm not sure that's what I want to do. I know that the "case" on my controller is acting like a heat sink already.

The combo of aluminum finned heat sink and a fan might be just the ticket though!

I've got some 48V 92mm fans i picked up cheap as surplus. They move quite a bit of air without much noise. CFM is what you want to look at in a fan. (Cubic Feet/Minute) Heat sinks can be terribly expensive new! Might be worth checking eBay or the local scrap yard before spending a lot of $$$.
