alltrax controller pro

will alltrax controller pro work with windows 7 ? i installed the driver for the cable and downloaded controller pro but i keep getting a message saying controller not connected . do i need to find an older computer with xp or 98 on it?

I'm running controller pro with W7 in 64bit. Are you getting a green light on your controller BEFORE you open the program?
If no, that will do it everytime.

green light is on,still says cant locate controller

Did you install the driver for the cable?

i did and i still cant get it to connect.i may try a different computer tomorrow

There is an order to this. Controller on first, cable plugged into controller and then into the pc, only launch the software then. If it still does not work, launch your windows 7 control panel, right click on the system icon, and select on the hardware. If you do not see something under the comm ports then odds are your drivers are not working. If you unplug the in usb cable you should see it go away from the come ports and your pc should make a sound. If the driver works you will see it show up again under the comm ports as you plug it in and the computer song make a doink sound.
if you do not see this or hear the doink you do not have e right drivers



where did you get your cable and driver?

its a Sabrent cable and i installed the cd that came with it.

Run the program in adminstrator mode on windows 7. Just right click on the icon and click it in there
