Shock Therapy Racing's 1st cart build........
Well, the new drag cart has landed back in Arkansas. Flying trip to Pensacola was 31 hours total with 24 of that being driving. I'm tired but really glad to have this cart back in Arkansas and all cleaned up and sitting in my shop!!!
Seems guys always have catchy names for their race teams and my wife will be the first one to tell you that messing with these carts is my therapy some days so it only seemed natural for the electric drag cart race team name to be Shock Therapy Racing. I got the cart unloaded and all cleaned up real prudy like. Here's a few shots for starters. My buddy and head fabricator around here, Bob, is headed over this afternoon to get a look see and help to form a plan for where we go from here. I know we'll be totally disassembling the cart for starters. Then we will be adding some more body panels and add some of our ideas here and there. The goal is to add a few of our touches without messing up an aready great cart. More to come..... |

Bob just left. Going to strip the chassis and deliver to him later this week. We've brainstormed the pending changes and additions. Should be a very cool deal but you'll just have to wait.

I'm new to carts. Do you run the 1/8 or 1/4 mile? What kind of time are you hoping/expecting to run?

Carts run 1/8 mile. This cart has run 7.87 @ 82mph in the past. I bought the rolling chassis so I'll be using a different motor and controller and I'm alot fatter than the previous driver. Still hoping to put it in the mid 8's.
