Purple motor on the way
Had the girlfriend take my motor to the Steen fellows yesterday morning. One of the sons told me that he never seen a cc motor like mine.I don't know if thats good or bad.She is picking the motor back up friday morning and i am rather excited.I am now worried about my run time since i have the small Exide batteries.Should i get two more batteries like i have and run 48v or get rid of those and get good batteries and stay 36v?Thanks for your suggestions.

Re: Purple motor on the way
I would switch over to 48 volts because the 36 volt motor will run better on 48 volts. I have a 36 volt CC motor and running 48 volts on it. I went from 13 mph to 18 mph after the switch over and I haven't gotten the motor built yet. The guys at PlumQuick said the 36 volt motor will run better than a 48 volt motor on 48 volts. They also said I should get around 23 mph after they rebuild the motor. I think you would be happy if you did.

Re: Purple motor on the way
If you want to get the full effect go 48 volts. Yes a 36 volt motor on 48 volts will out perform a 48 volt motor.

Re: Purple motor on the way
I haven't seen a decrease or increase in run times. I have seen a increase in the joy factor while riding now. I think you'll like the extra performance.
