Default 72V parts check (pre-build)

I got a '97 EZGO TXT series cart today, rolling chassis with motor only, no batteries or speed control or charger. I intend on making this a 72v street cart. Here are my main components so far.

1) New controller - Alltrax SMP 72400 with ITS throttle input $519
http://www.evdrives.com/product_p/con-spm72400.htm

2) New charger - undecided (suggestions onboard or portable?)

3) Main contactor - 72V 1000A surge $69
http://kellycontroller.com/main-cont...mps-p-143.html

4) F/R contactor - 72V 400A $99
http://kellycontroller.com/reversing...amps-p-95.html

5) Batteries - custom pack with SLA Enersys SBS30 (I've tested these in 36V cart with great success and they are $2 each)

With the exception of new cables this should be everything I need to convert? I'm unfamiliar with EZGO ITS Throttle. I usually see 0-5k or 5k-0 throttles. Alltrax lists an ITS as an option, thats the correct one for my cart right?

The goal is high speed (30mph) with plenty of torque. Cart will be used on street with almost no hills.

p.s. I know I'll need brake upgrades.

Sorry for the double post but I just wanted to clarify my main question.

Do I order the Altrax controller with a ITS Throttle input based on that's what I think the '97 ezgo txt has or change throttle to something better?

I don't want to make a $500 mistake!

Edit:
Also do I absolutely NEED to use 72V main and F/R contactors or can I use cheaper, less dangerous 36v (or less) contactors?

You should go way faster than 30mph. I am on 48v and run 39.

Yes you need to order your controller for ITS throttle.

Sounds like a great build. Good luck.

Controller, charger and main contactor on order. I'm just going to beef up the existing F/R switch. Batteries are coming in slowly but steady.

The reversing contactor you have coming replaces the rotary F&R switch.

I didn't order the reversing contactor. Saving a few bucks for something more important. I'm just going to beef up my existing F/R switch.

Talking Re: 72V parts check (pre-build)

The standard F/R switch will handle it as long as you make sure everything is new. I have looked all over for better parts for this part of a 72 volt conversion and haven't ever found anything other than stock components. I have been doing the contactors in all mine with great results.
It should work fine but the longer it is rode for long peroid of times it will produce more heat. Keep it clean and the cables tight. It will be more are less the weak link in the system.

The Alltrax controller's should be programable so if it's ITS are a pot box want matter. Just set it up for the right input for the cart.

Can't edit my OP. I didn't order from kelly controllers either for two reasons.

1) They are in china (takes too long and I'm impatient when building carts).
2) They wanted additional $48 to ship the main and reversing contactors.

I ended up ordering both my Alltrax SPM 72400 and 72v main contactor from evdrives. I have found reversing contactors are pretty expensive at 400A 72V.
