36v to 48 v advice
Well i emailed Plum Quick over the weekend to inquire about a new motor that would the best option for my 1996 EZ-GO TXT 36 V cart. The cart has an All Sport High five lift kit, 12" wheels with 25" tires and a rear flip seat.I have some 2 guage wires that will be installed in the near future. I would like to get a little better speed from it we only drive it in the subdivision on flat ground. With that being said Plum quick sent me in this direction
..your best bang for the buck would be to upgrade to 48 volts .48 volt controller, 48 volt charger, 48 volt solenoid, 48 volt battery pack, run your stock motor So i am really asking for suggestions on the 48 volt solenoid, 48 volt controller |

Re: 36v to 48 v advice
Sending 48v to the stock 36v motor is a proven formula. Adding a high-amp controller and an HD solenoid is required for those 25's. If your cart is a series cart you will want to upgrade the F/R assembly also.

Any of the site sponsors can hook you up with upgrades. As far as controllers go the Alltrax units are very well respected and have a solid warranty. If you just want the cheapest prices, you can google your time away, but if you want GREAT customer service and installation support you can't beat Scottyb's Carts Unlimited.

???In the Sepex drive carts (PDS and DCS included) the controller does the high amperage switching unlike the Series carts which use a rotary style switch. Technically there is no HD F&R in a Sepex cart, just a low amperage rocker switch which tells the controller to make the switch. I hope this helps |

Re: 36v to 48 v advice
Scotty b i will give you a call when im ready to order to make sure i get the correct parts right now im in the planning phase and I just spent all my play money on the lift, rear seat rims and tires. With that being said we are expecting baby girl #4 in 3 weeks and momma would not be happy if i dropped another $1000 on the golf cart right now. LOL!
