I run between 42-45 with 19.5' tires and 8:1 gears. You should run alot faster than 35. What is your setup?

8:1 gears and 22 inch tires at that time. I wanted good take off too so I compromised a little on the top speed.

I think he was asking what size/make controller, solenoid, cable size.....that's the set up he meant.

because I thought the same thing.....for the simple reason I have the stock gears (12.44:1) but running 23" tires and max out at 27 MPH.....but I'm only pushing 36V. (the spec's are below in my sig)

I am running a Spm-72500 with 2 gauge welding cable and a custom D&d motor.
