Default 72 volt drive top speed

Finally did a top speed run with the 72 volt Drive. 8:1 gears and 22 inch tires it topped out at 35 but beat v8 f250 to 35 mph. I had plenty of take off so I got 25 inch tires now but haven't checked the speed on it yet. I'll try to get some video soon.

So how does it fell to you with the 25" tires? Do you still have good take off torque? So how much drop in torque do think?

It feels great on take off in parking lot but haven't made any top speed runs. It will still get sideways with throttle in the gravel.

I'm guessing your top speed will be a touch more on the 25's.

It should be there definitely taller, had to go skinnier to tuck them under the fenders.

The cart in my avatar would run 29 on flats. The tires on it were 26x10x12's. I took all the components out of it and put it in a lowered cart on 205-30/14's and it would run 25. Rotating mass will give a few more mph.

Its not the mass. Its soley the height and tread pattern that determans top speed if rpm is constant..I would think that the rotational mass of a heavier tire might actually fight against the top speed

My off road 72 volt cart has 24" tires with stock rear end gears and tops out at 22-24MPH but it has a custome torque motor by PQ. It will climb a tree if I could stay on it. Trail riding sped normally isn't much over 15 MPH but it's nice down at the beach during the summer.
GTO 06, Good job on the cart.

Did you put in the 8:1 gears?
