Default My new Mancave !

Well after months and months of dealing with the county, Rain delays and so on and on The garage is up ! 40x30x10 Still a lot to be done, But man it feels good to see some real progress. I have waited a very long time to get my dream garage, ( you know...Kids, life, work, time ! ) But I think I see the light at the end of the tunnel Plans are one half will be auto and the other half will be wood working, The wife already knows that there is no room for storage of her junk

Just remember no matter how big you build it or how well you plan, you never have enough room. LOL

Sounds like you have a good plan though. Congratulations....... I don't know what I'd do without my garage.

Crash, If I would have known you were going to fly by I would have stayed home , nice clock but I don't need anymore cats ! Still trying to get the one you sent me at Christmas trained. Anyway it's slow going on the garage, had a family reunion on my wife's side to go to up by where we camp this weekend so we are taking it easy for a quick minute.

Are you planning to come back with a concrete floor?

If I were to build a new garage for myself I'd build one about that size but have one door that had a matching door on the back side so I could drive thru.

It does look like it will be a nice one and you can't beat a nice garage.

Smokindawg , yes 4in concrete floor and 6 in where the lift will be. As you can see in the picture we need some back fill, and then a layer of stone as a base. The fill dirt is set up for Thursday delivery, So we will try to get everything done and ready for concrete next weekend. My brother in law will be doing all the electrical, So we need to set down and plan that out. Also we want to put a covered porch on the back side of the garage, so I may put another over head door there. And we are doing the windows ourself to help keep cost down.
