Default Battery lift straps

Hi when I used to grind crankshafts in a auto machine shop we would use old fan belts and old serpentine belts to lift the blocks or anything heavy, of course the belts were worn but not frayed . You would be surprised at how much weight a belt can lift.

That leads me to my tip, I had a old drive belt off of my push mower it's about 12 inches long folded over, so i bent two peg board S hooks over on each end and it makes a perfect strap handle to lift batteries with

It has saved my fingers and hands many times!

Seaquell,

That is a great tip !!!

About 2 mins, and 50 cents.... Ive spent that much in Band-Aids on one battery swap.

Thanks for sharing !

Sounds like a good idea. I use hooks from an old bungee cord and a loop of rope. Bet the belt would be easier on the hand.

That is actually pretty clever.

Whenever I need a new set of batteries (I have 4 electric carts so I am pretty much buying batteries every year) I talk the seller into throwing me in a carry strap. They always do.

It works good I did it just a month ago. But it is hard on the hands. Use a pair of gloves.
