under body lighting / waterproof LEDs
I have trouble with too many rabbits and not enough predators. They are damaging vehicle wiring made with soy jacketing, which is just about every make of car now.
Googling the problem will verify the scope of the problem for country folks and bring up a number of things you can do try to stop these critters. My mechanic told me a rat ate my wires so I set rat traps around and on top of each tire. Traps were tripped without a catch, so I got a critter cam. Set it up and much to my shock filmed rabbits going in and out of my engine compartment. So I bought bobcat and fox urine, pepper spray, critter away, you name it we tried it and still had the rabbits. There is a drought here in California and my lawn is the only live greens they get. To make a long story short I have realized these mostly nocturnal critters are coming in under the cover of darkness. Using that data I strung out 2 16 foot LED light strips, hooked em up to a couple of 12v batteries wired in series with a trickle charge on them and light up the underside of the truck like a shopping mall - the cam shows no critters willing to venture into such a well lit area. I am now in search of the BEST brightest white under body lighting. Reviews are all over the map on various makes. Who has had a good experience with what brand or ? Thanks in advance. |

I bought these for underbody. They've held up well.
They have a pretty bright white light and you can set them to flash to really confuse them. They're fun at Xmas too. https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/...?ie=UTF8&psc=1 |

I ordered a motion detector as an alternative to running them all night.
I currently have similar strings like that but unsure if they will stay put. |

Don't rely on the adhesive.
I zip tied mine to the frame. |
