Yard tool stand
I have been using a large trash can to hold all of the shovels, rakes etc. but that's not working everything gets tangled and now the can is falling apart. Anyone have pictures or ideas of a stand or rack that is easy to make? Trying to straighten up the garage to walk through instead of climb over everything.
Thanks Mike |

Re: Yard tool stand
I don't have a picture, but I just screwed 2x4's to the wall and used a vinyl coated hook kit from Menards to hang rakes, shovels, etc. on the wall. I even hang my Stihl power head and all its attachments too. Really saves time and everything is neat in it's place.

Can't go wrong with the Hopkins 2x4 basics kits.

Re: Yard tool stand
I have two of the cheap plastic triangle holders at each front corner of my garage. They work really well to keep things out of the way. I suggest getting some wood and making your own so they will be more sturdy. The plastic ones do not hold weight well at all when things start to lean. Get a couple of pieces of wood, some 2x2's or 2x4's and use a hole saw blade that goes on a drill to cut your holes in the top and bottom piece of wood.
Basically copying the cheap plastic ones. Also, like 'miker' suggested, pallets standing up on their ends work really well. You could probably find some for free and paint them if you like so they look good. |

Re: Yard tool stand
I spread the tools out all over the ranch so there is a shovel or rake close to where I need it.
