Default Cheapo endoscope

I got some E bay $'s so I ordered El Cheapo Type -C 8 LED endoscope. I can't believe how well the thing works. I don't have an immediate use for it but somewhere down the line it might come in handy.

I have one of these and it works quite well. It's a little funky getting it paired to your phone the first time but once it's set up it works quite well https://www.amazon.com/DEPSTECH-Wate...=fsclp_pl_dp_1

I did some experimenting this a.m. with the endo and my spare VC 460 block, front cover and cylinder head. The 8 LED's are plenty bright and the head fits easily thru the spark and drain and fill holes. Or down the push rod hole right into the lifter bores. The governor hole would need to very slightly enlarged. It will be interesting with some parts inside to see what if any use this would be on the bottom end. Obviously looking in the cylinder thru the spark plug hole is an asset but I was trying to see if there are other useful entry points. P.S. I just enlarged the base of the governor hole from inside the block. That might give the best view of inside the crankcase.

I don't own a smart phone so mine is paired to my lap top where I just plug it into a USB port. Have you been able to diagnose a potential problem using this device ? I can see on larger engine where you could get a good look at the bottom end or inside trans or diffs for either debris or damage.

It fits down inside anywhere you want it to basically. The camera is about as big around as a pencil, it's pretty small, about 1 1/2" long and the cable behind it is rigid, but flexible so if you stick it somewhere it will hold itself in position.

Has a nice picture and detail. I've got no complaints other than the initial pairing process can be kind of a pain.
