The oldest tool in the shop or Can you identify this?
This is a little of both .... I'm sure it is one of the older tools in my shop. I have been oiling things with it for near 30 yrs. She wasn't new when I found her lying in the bottom of a dirty box at a swap meet either. The only marking I see is on the top " Golden Rod "

Scotty, I missplaced that about 30 years ago, where did you find it? I had to go buy me another one. (yes I really do have one) Wouldn't think of working in my garage without one.

That is funny, Rodger
I thought we could get other members to post pics of favorite old tools they use in their shops? |

Re: The oldest tool in the shop or Can you identify this?
I have one of those also. The flex line on mine busted a few months ago. I even have a spout that we used to stuff in the top of oil cans. I want a can of oil to go with it. I'll post a pic if I remember.
I'll take my camera tomorow. I have an old grinding table that is all cast and has manual controls. It was once used to releif grind reels for lawn mowers. It's a peerless. Last edited by tonyton; 09-28-2009 at 09:20 PM.. Reason: add camera comment |

If I posted a pic of my old tool , we would get busted for pron (or in my case "lack of")
I will have to go dig up my oldest tool I can find and get a pic of it. I have a tool that is over fourty years old and still works like a champ. I will try to find it for you. |
