![]() I have a set of odessy batteries 680's 36 and 48 volts. I take with me to check out carts and chargers both. Very handy to have when checking out stuff. I need to build a carrier for them though. PD made this one for me.

![]() This is more of a tip than a shop trick. I have some digital calipers I use around my workshop a lot and it shows either inches or mm. My wife does a lot of hobby stuff that use inches in fractions and has trouble converting from decimals. I found a digital caliper that measures in mm or fractional inches. The attached pic is not very good but gives you an idea of the display. I use it a lot for determining drill bit sizes.

![]() I have those calipers from Harbor Freight. After you get them go to eBay and buy a 10 pack of the little Nickle sized battery for a fraction of the cost the local hardware store will charge and enjoy the convenience of having a fresh battery on hand when you need it.

![]() I probably got these from Micro Mark which is not going to be the cheapest place. Do a Yahoo search for "Digital Fractional Caliper" and you will get a bunch of hits. Harbor Freight has some plastic ones for $11.99. I prefer the metal ones over the plastic but they are more expensive. For those who have never had one of these they eat the little watch batteries. You can get a card of 10 batteries on the internet for what you would pay for two at the drugstore. Get the battery number and do a search. I think I got mine at www.swatchbattery.com.

![]() Re Post 101: If you don't have a custom hub holder handy you can put any stout metal bar between 2 studs and let the other end of the bar rest on the ground. This will keep the hub from spinning. Put the nuts on to protect the threads if you are getting rowdy. ![]()

![]() 2 9v plug together in series. The 18v pack is perfect for bench programming Alltrax controllers... but they have dropped to 17.3 after just 6 months use.... I'm recharging 9v batteries in series with a solar charger (at 21v 0.5 amps) .... Mmmm, green.

![]() That's been out for awhile. I was signed up for dealer thing but I think the price is higher than most people want to pay to monitor their battery pack.
