Tube Bender Idea's??
Hi All, I'd like to fab a roll bar/roof frame and have been looking for a tube bender. Without spending a couple hundred bucks for a bender, I was wondering what you guys are using?
Thanks! Ed |

Harbor Freight has a decent little tube bender for around 90 bucks.

Re: Tube Bender Idea's??
hobo freight does have benders but they are pipe benders not tube these benders work great on pipe only trust me i tried so when building a roll cage or brush guard make sure you use pipe with these type of benders i used 1" black pipe which can be purchased at any home store lowes home depot here is a pic of my brush guard good luck building your roll cage and sky's the limit with the right tools

Yes we actually made a mini chopper with it a few years back. Works good. I will see if I can find pics of the frame.
You can use a pipe bender for tubing "IF" you fill the tubing with sand. Then it won't kink on you. |

I'm in Clifton Park, NY. Thanks for all of the ideas! I just need to decide what size pipe I'll use for the rollbar.

Re: Tube Bender Idea's??
I think you need 1.5 to 1.75 inch pipe for a roll cage. I'm not sure what wall thickness but if you want ti to hold the cart off your head in a rollover it will need to thick and attached to the frame... I think more info will be forth coming from other members.....I hope this little bit helps.
