Try some acid, can make for an interesting trip. Really, start out with a mild acid like oxalic. If that does not work step up to muriatic(diluted HCL). You can get both at the big box home stores. Oxalic should be in the tile section, muriatic in the paint or concrete area. Be sure to wear gloves, eye protection, etc.

You can use CLR to remove the rust. Available at grocery and hardware stores. Also at wallyworld: http://www.walmart.com/ip/Calcium-Li...mover/14574716

I fixed some rusty spots on a painted pool deck. Previous owner had metal furniture out there. Took care of the rust nicely. It did lighten the paint in a couple of spots, but the rust is history.

Or you could stain the rest of it and blame it on the contractors! But on a serious not...try CLR..I actually used it on my concrete at my old house and it worked! Good luck with your chore.

I had lots of those stains at the end of my driveway. I used liquid pool chlorine that I buy to pour in my pool. pour it on, spread it around and left it there. It dried up in the sun and removed the rust. The stain was unsealed cement.

CTD;
If you still have the rust stain issue go to Home Depot in the plumbing department they have a product called "RustAid". It's the best I've found, even got rust stains off of an antique clawfoot tub, with just a few applications.
Hope this helps!
