Default Show me your garage floor. Paint or apoxy

I am buying a new build and need to do something with my garage floor in my previous house I had concrete and that would kill my feet when I was welding in there for long durations. Also exhaust fan ideas for my new garage would be awesome

If you do alot of metal work, dont waste the money on floor covering or coating,it wont last. The best thing to do is get some old tuck mudflaps to stand on in various places, that u spend time standing still. The good heavy flaps are pretty resistant to fire from sparks too,i use them.Hope this helps.

I have been on my slab for 37 years. I had it slick finished and sealed. It is still easy to clean with a pressure washer except under the lifts and where it is eaten away from too much traffic over the years. Oil still wipes up in most places.

UnLike most others I wasted a lot of money putting U-Coat-It on my 40X70 back in 05 mat. only was like 2200.00 and just a waste of money.
Do like the others have said if it is a working garage, if its for show thats a different story. I have 36" fans hanging on the walls. Hope this helps.

You can purchase black mats for horse trailers at tractor supply. I have them in my garage and softer than concrete but i wont say they are flame resistant.

I got my floor covered in mat tiles I got at yard sale for $5 lol
Easy on the feet but wouldn't recommend for welding lol

I covered my floor with some tiles called Snaplock.com. I purchased them online from Bigfloors.com.
They are a hard, durable plastic tile that comes in many different colors and sizes. These are 12" x12" and they interlock onto one another. They have some "perfs" or ridges on the surface that keeps them from being slippery. They also sell edge pieces to help with transitions. They are NOT fireproof or melt proof but they are very tough, chemical resistant, clean easy, are removable, and softer to walk on than concrete. Plus, they look good. Also, you can customize any pattern, color combination you have in mind.

They lock onto one another. They are not glued down. This provides a "floating" floor and allows for some temperature expansion and contraction.

Well I've had these over 4 years now. Dropped many things on them, haven't broke one yet. I'm not saying you cant break em', just i havent. Shoot, i've dropped channel locks and chipped concrete.......hahaha.

I don't remember exactly how much they cost, but they weren't cheap.
There are definitely some "cheaper" versions out there.
