Price on a 2008 Club Car XRT 1550 Gas 4 Seater
Gentlemen,
I don't have much experience with pricing on these things, but a friend has a the cart. I have a few questions and I was hoping the folks with experience could help me out: 1. It has 181 hours. Is that excessive or average for a 2008? 2. The asking price is $7,000. Is that reasonable? 3. What type problems could I experience with a cart such as this with this many hours/age? I would appreciate any help you all could offer. |

The hours are about right, I have 265hrs on my 07 DS and it runs like a top!
You should be able to get 1500hrs before things start wearing out. (depending how you abuse it) things to look for... 4 wheel drive? Gas or Diesel engine? Here's an 08 1550SE, 4wd, diesel Kabota engine... he bought it new for $13K! so, $7k is not that unreasonable, but, you might be able to get him down a bit! Misc. 096 (2).jpg |

Re: Price on a 2008 Club Car XRT 1550 Gas 4 Seater
My buddy bought his 2010 XRT 1500 series with the 23hp Kawasaki for $5100 from a local dealer last year, the hours were fairly high for being a newer cart (I want to say around 4 or 500) but it's in really nice (like new, other than the hours) condition ... Around here, the State allows side-by-sides to be registered for trail use, but they exclude the Ute's by Golf Cart manufacturers (even though they aren't golf carts, the State treats them as such) so the demand isn't there for them, especially considering there are Prowlers, Rangers, etc with better suspensions, more suitability and speed for trail use (as well as for utility work) and again, CAN be legally ridden recreationally on the trails for similar prices.
Do all the research and look at your options before spending that kind of money - a 2012 Prowler XTX 700 with under 500hrs sells for around $7-8k here (and they're relatively plentiful on Craigslist, dealers, etc) - NOW You're looking at a machine that will do 55mph, has over double the suspension of the XRT, 3-mode drivetrain (2X4, $x$, and "Turf Mode" to save your grass from getting torn up like an XRT will in 4wd), heavier payload rating, bigger cargo box, etc ... It's all a matter of opinion, I guess but don't limit yourself to a slow "one-trick pony" when there are a lot of different options at the price point You are talking |

Re: Price on a 2008 Club Car XRT 1550 Gas 4 Seater
It all depends on what your going to use it for. The prowler doesn't look like it is as useful if you work your utv. The bed is too small and cant handle the 800 lbs my xrt is rated for. Don't get me wrong it looks like it would be a fun toy but most people I know that drop cash on a UTV buy it to work it.
