Long time, no cart, need help
So, here was my original cart build http://www.buggiesgonewild.com/lifte...s-project.html It's gone now, sold to a friend. Now I have a new cart, an 01 DS that I'm starting over with, I don't remember what I did for the governor adjustment. I had much larger tires on the last cart too. I loosened the nut that attaches the linkage coming out of the transaxle until it would move freely. I test drove it and it runs out faster, then stalls out on the limiter. Please help me figure this out. Talk soon.

Re: Long time, no cart, need help
Ok, I'm sorry for the brief, undescriptive post. I bought this cart this past weekend and it doesn't really seem anywhere near as fast as my old 05 DS I had, even before the wheel/tire upgrade. I'm trying to increase the top speed, and make the cart run(idle) in neutral without pedal pressure. I made my old cart do this but do not remember how I did it. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I picked this one up to do another off-road build like my old one. I'm still working overseas and wont start that build until I come back home for good next year. Right now, I just want to get it running as well as it can stock, and idling in all gears before I leave again next week. As always, any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks for reading.

Re: Long time, no cart, need help
O.k.... Straight up? I'm not a huge fan of telling people to run their carts fully ungoverned,
(mostly due to engine damage or personal injury) But, I'll help you... so use this information at your own risk! To disable or stop it from bouncing off of the rev limiter: on the lower front of the engine, there is a box, that's the rev limiter! there is a brown wire connected to the left mounting bolt, remove the bolt, remove the eyelet from the bolt, tape up the eyelet, and let it hang there, and reinstall the bolt. the limiter is now disabled! To get it to idle: (in F&R) >>>>> http://www.buggiesgonewild.com/gas-c...dle-setup.html As for it idling in neutral... I've never done it, but a guess is disconnecting one of the wires at one of the F/N/R microswitches. |

Re: Long time, no cart, need help
Cool, and that's exactly what I did this evening. Your idle setup, and disconnected the ground wire. It worked well, and for the idle in neutral I just temporarily zip-tied up the aft microswitch. Thanks again.
