Default broken push rod FE290

have two club cars where the push rod on the exhaust side are snapping in half,any fixes? thanks sorry that would be a 290 if it matters much. thanks guys

i think we need some more info on what is going on here , are the governers still intact , is someone running wot down hill , generally they dont break so much as pop out of the rocker due to high rpm abuse , have you checked the exhaust valve to make sure it is moving smoothly , have you checked to make sure the rocker arm is not damaged or twisted to insure smooth operation , when reinstalling the pushrods did you adjust the valve clearance to spec? these are all items that can cause repeat failures if not addressed correctly.

We might want to pick the correct engine size first! (there are significant differences between the two!)

Originally, the title did say "FE350"... but in the first post you said it was a 290, so I corrected the title,
and now it's back to a 350?

The FE350's have hydraulic lifters, (no valve lash adjustment)
where as the FE290's don't! (adjustable valve lash)
plus, the push rods between the two are different,
so IF... by chance... your using an FE290 push rod in an FE350, we might have already found the reason!
