91 CC gas won't stop running
My cart engine does not stop when you take your foot off the accelerator.

Re: 91 CC gas won't stop running
Give me a hint on micro switch. Where What it looks like. Also have found out with spark plug wire off it works correctly. With spark plug wire attached it won't quit going. Imean without spark plug it keeps turning over until the accelerator pedal is released. With spark plug when you release accelerator pedal it just keeps going. Thanks for the reply.

Re: 91 CC gas won't stop running
the black box in front of the battery, there are 2 small black micro switches in there and the solenoid is in there, if you know how to put it in maintence mode than do that while it cranking over by itself try tapping the solenoid with something to see if it stops......................................

Re: 91 CC gas won't stop running
Thanks for the info. Here is what it looks like. To the passenger side of the battery there is a shelf. Probably had a top at one time. There is a switch with a cam connected to the accelerator pedal-the pedal opens and closes it. There is also a solenoid and a silver box which I believe would be a voltage regulator. There are 5 plugs into the accelerator switch. There are three wires connected and several loose ones. Various combinations have merely killed a lot of fuses. Where would one buy switches like this. Thanks again.

Re: 91 CC gas won't stop running
I'm curious about this too Tom. My workhorse has just started to do this also. Prior to this it ran perfect and all of my wires are hooked up? Seems to me something is sticking?

Re: 91 CC gas won't stop running
i know this all sounds like old news but me for as few micro switches i see go bad and i don,t see a lot of them they just always seem to work i go strait to the solenoid as they go bad 10 times more often........theres nothing else there to keep the motor spinning over and running besides the micro or the solenoid and i go right to the solenoid...........portalto you can get the micro switches at any golfcart supply store they are a few bucks each..........................solenoid should be approx 22.00.....................................

Re: 91 CC gas won't stop running
I have had to replace this particular micro twice, maybe just my bad luck.

Re: 91 CC gas won't stop running
yes thats possible even more so if the Co got a bad batch of them but thats more the exception than the rule.........you can tell 99% of the time by just working the lever on the micro you can almost feel a good one.....with a good arm movement and a nice steady click, now if you move the lever and the littlke plastic 1/2 roller just falls real weak than for the cost of the micro replace it and if you get the new micro,s with 3 spade terminals instead of 2 terminals don,t worry you can use them................................
