Default low speed power

So, I read little on the machining for more power, is this job increasing speed or power?
I have a small machine shop here at my place, so I was thinking how to get some good low end torque out of it, we have a couple steep hills and just hte drive to the lower partt of house is about 18 degrees, im going to make my leaf spring bushing in the next couple weeks for it and might raise it a tad, ill build my own lift - as I also have a CNC plasma table if I really need to liftt it

it at least needs some mud tires and my '06 dodge dually has 35x12.50's on it <g>

If you machine your driven clutch it allows your clutch faces to get closer together essentially making your driven "Gear" larger giving you more low end torque. If you machine your drive clutch it gives you more top end. If you machine both you get the best of both worlds.

with 27 inch tires, I need to get some low end back also.
I'm trying to wrap what's left of my brain around this.
Are there any good pics around of exactly what is machined?

ok simple gear changing then, machine both and it could essentially give you the same final drive ratio, with a lower or higher engine RPM

I'll have to take a look and see exactly where to machine the driven Clutch

still trying to find the ram for the dump affordable
