Question about Caryall
Hey folks!!!
I don't come around here much anymore but have been getting the itch to get a cart again! It's been almost 7 years since I've sold mine and do really regret selling it. I Hope you all will let me back in your group here!! ANYWAY, Quick question before I jump on a craigslist deal. Person is selling a CC carryall, pretty rough condition but a good candidate for a fixer-uper. My question is can the rear body/bed assembly be removed and fitted with standard cart body without modification to the frame? I don't have the slightest idea how to cut/weld aluminum so if it would take modification then I'll just let this cart slide past! Below is a pic of the cart, not the prettiest but a solid start. Thanks in advance!!! Tyler ImageUploadedByTapatalk1431833806.019296.jpg Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Re: Question about Caryall
Welcome back Tyler!
Wow... a 2006 join date! you started on BGW a month before me...back in the earliest days! (have you checked out the BU forum lately? ) Don't quote me on this, but I'm pretty sure a DS rear body won't work on a Carryall without some modifications, and stuff from a donor DS! If you can't use the Carryall for it's intended use, (utility cart) I'd suggest passing, and look for a DS! |

Question about Caryall
Quote:
Thanks for the heads up!! I think I'm going to be forced to pass on it anyway. The seller listed an invalid phone number and didn't list any other contact info. Oh well.. easy come, easy go. There will be more!! Really have my heart set on a gas DS anyway!! Yes, 2006, if I remember correctly the BU forum was going down the tube and fast back then. So someone created this forum and a bunch of us jumped ship and came here!! Looking around there are a few user names that still ring a bell!! Lol! No, I don't think I've been on the other forum since then. Does it still exist? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Re: Question about Caryall
For the original question, no a carryall rear body can't be removed and replaced with a ds body without a massive amount of custom work.
But anyways, why do that anyways, I love the carryalls. If you had the time/money and you can get a carryall cheap, buy it, fix it up and flip it for a profit. They sell quick when I see them. |
