Default What did I do?

So I was messing around with my 2013 Club Car Precedent and i realized if i pull this thing back (maybe the governor) back it goes faster. It made if go from about 15.7mph to 20.3mph. I used a zip tie to hold it back at first. I noticed it runs a bit hotter when the thing is zip tied back. So i rigged it up with a string that when you pull it holds the thing back and the cart goes faster.

It is fast enough for my property but when i want to go to a friends place or to get the mail its a bit slow. So I don't want this mod on all the time. only when i am going on the actual road.

What did i do. Did i disable the Governor? all the things I read online say pulling the two piece of metal there closer will make it go faster. But this is pulling them apart?

I rigged up a sting with one of those stings holders. so if you tighten the string it goes about 5mph faster and if you let it go slack then it is normal.

Here are some pics.

this the the thing i am pulling back..

and this is what i rigged up to hold the string.

if i pull the sting like I said it goes about 5mph faster.
