what is ignitor?
Hello everyone,
New to the site and new to carts. (I inherited the maintenance on my fathers cart). I am a little confused on the ignitor. I know the coil is fired by magnet on flywheel. For instance, do lawn tractors have ignitors also? So what exactly does the ignitor do? thanks for any help Fredfarkle Last edited by fredfarkle; 07-01-2015 at 04:12 PM.. early ohv had ignitors and a coil, most later years have just a coil.......if you have the ignitor, its in the fan shroud. no maintance for it.
