Default 2009 Key Start cart, not starting

I got a club car DS, gas powered, key start at an auction. I got it home and the key switch clicks when I try and start it. I can't hear if the solenoid clicks.

If I undo the wires and hold the red and blue (I think) together will it crank and tell me if the key switch is bad? The fuses are good and I'm getting power to the key switch. Battery is also good.

Any suggestions? Thanks

Not sure this applies and sure I don't
know what I'm talking about but I struggled
for weeks to get mine to start after seeing
it start when I inherited it. I finally learned
on this forum that microswitches determine
whether it will start in Forward, Neutral or Reverse.
Mine was set to start in Forward and I was
trying to start it in Neutral.

I've tried starting it in all directions. It was a bad ground.

Now it will crank but it doesn't move unless I constantly work the choke? Not only that, the choke cable is froze up and won't pull, I have to hold my hand over the air filter inlet and move it back and forth to get it to run. It will run and drive but not without manually operating the choke? Anyone else had a similar issue?

Air filter is clean, cleaned the carb, no leaks in the air filter hose. I'm stumped. Any help is appreciated, thanks!

I cleaned the carb and the bowl. They were clean when I took it off, but I went ahead and cleaned it anyway. Still doing the same?
