Default Won't start...weird symptoms

Hello,

This cart is rather new to me. It's an 88 DS. It was a little hard starting when cold. I put a lift kit on it had the motor sitting down low at a pretty good angle for 3 days. After I installed the lift it will not start. Has spark. I can spray "starting fluid" in it and it still won't start. So I pulled the air cleaner and it's pulsing air out of the carb. Like an intake valve is stuck or something? I did a compression test and it was 60 ! When it ran it did not smoke and had pleanty of pep? Weird. Any ideas? thanks!

Anyone have any ideas on how I get to the valves on that flat head 341cc? I'm going to have to unstick that intake valve. I was thinking of pulling the head off the top but that still won't get me into the valve spring/guide area. I've searched the forum and online with little luck finding anything? thx

There is a plate on the front of the engine. Has vacuum hose folding out of it. Take that off and springs are right there.

I just did a complete top end rebuild on mine and had to adjust valve clearance and all that. Let me know if you need any assistance on anything. Be glad to help as much as I can.
