Default 2003 gas club car govenor

I recently customized my 2003 club car. I would like to get a little more speed if possible . I put a lift kit and 12 inch tires on it. I've tried zip tying the governor spring but whenever I build up rpms it cuts off. right now I have the rod under the black box lengthened out and it does go some faster. any ideas on how to get a little more speed without taking a chance with the motor. don't want to unhook the rev limiter. ive talked to other people that said the zip ties usually work, but I've tried them at various lengths and it still cuts off. looking for any ideas. Thanks

Loosen up the nut on the governing arm... Turn the pin on top of the rear end ( gov. adjusting) clockwise til it stops! Let me know what you think!

No... 97 and newer But you can loosen the nut and spread the clamp open a little on the 96 and older.
