Default FE 290- 1.00 MM Oversize Piston??

Hello all- I have run into a big problem rebuilding my 1996 FE290- The engine is already bored .50 mm over and is very sloppy. Bore measurements require a 1.00 MM over piston for rebuild. I have heard that there are some custom makers out there that build this piston/rings. Does anybody have any contacts for me to acquire one of these? I will also need a new cam as the rivets holding the gear to the cam are sloppy as well. Thank you in advance!!

Check the dimension of a .5 over for a 350 engine, not sure if there is that much metal in there for 1.0 over bore walls may get thin

I am looking to rebuild my 1997 fe290 engine. I am thinking this is a backwards running engine. I need it to pull 4 people around some property with hills. Am I barking up the wrong tree. Debating on rebuilding this engine or buying a 13 HP predator engine and changing the gears. Need advice on which way to go.
Trying to keep it cheap.
