Default Rear end Noise

I had a golf cart dealer install a high speed rear end in my gas 2003 Club Car. Got the speed but also a lot of whineing in the rear end, especially when I let off the gas. The shop refuses to do anything about it. Is this normal? Will heavy rear end grease help? When new gears are installed, are there adjustments that would make the gears mesh together without the whine.

Thanks for any help.

I'm no expert on this but let's start with checking to see if the so called shop put oil in. Don't know if your cart has a common tranny/rear end reservoir but it could be an oversight on their part, not refilling with oil after the rebuild.

Thanks, I checked that and it is full. I did notice that it seemed thin so I thought I would drain it and use 90 w gear lube unless someone suggested something different.

80w-90 gear lube should be used in all CC gas transaxles...

and SAE 30 motor oil is used in the CC electric transaxles

I'd change it... just to make sure it's gear lube!

Yeah that's not normal. I have hs gears that my dumba$$ installed and it doesn't make any noise. Maybe I should become a gc mechanic.lol
