98' CC DS F/R lever malfunction

I just purchased a 98' CC DS gas cart and the F/R lever operates opposite from what it should. In the forward position the cart goes backward and in the reverse position the cart goes forward. Any idea what the problem might be.

Has the motor been changed out
In 97 cc changed from a ccw motor to a cw motor
Some one might of put an older engine in there

Stand on the passenger side of the cart with the seat lifted...
Tap the "Go" pedal and see witch way the drive (engine) clutch turns,
Your 98 with the original engine is supposed to turn clockwise.

and I agree with Chevy... I bet the engine was swapped out with a pre-96 engine!

Or some one changed out the rear end and didn't no there was different ones
If u can take pics of the rear end we can help u figure out what u have

Don't apologize Chevy... your absolutely correct!

But checking the rotation of the engine is pretty easy, and will determine either/or...

Yes/No?
