I had a question about installing some 6:1 gears in a 94 gas club car... im leaving the cart stock height and on stock size wheels. My friend and i have worked in a golf cart shop for several years. We have done just about everything you could imagine to a cart, including many high speed gears in electric club carts but never in any gas carts. For those who have done it, i was wondering if there are any special tools needed or if i will need to have any bearings pressed in or out? Also, about how hard is it on a scale from 1-10? thanks.....

Does your shop have service manuals you could refer to? Have you googled any info on it or done any searching on the topic here?

Ive searched on here and could not find much....and the shop manual only has a lay out of what the rear end looks like inside, and from what i can tell there are plenty of gears in there!

On that '94 the internals of the differential should be the same as the electric models.. The gas models just have a F/R transmission that bolts on in place of the electric motor.. Just unbolt the transmission and remove it like you would an electric motor.. For that vintage, the gas & electric axles use the same Hi-Speed gearsets.. If you've done a set on an electric CC, the gasser is no different once you unbolt the transmission and slide it from the input shaft splines...
