2006 club car ds bad oil leak
I'm back! I don't know if that's good or bad. my club car ds has a bad leak. I've looked into this and I think it may be the crank case gasket. I've read some articles here about changing it. But my question is, is it always the crank case gasket? It appears the oil is coming from around the head. I cant say that for sure though. Its right above the oil fill tube on the block. The fe290 has a black metal piece around the head. I guess mostly for a cleaner appearance. Well the gasket also runs under that area slightly. I cleaned up the area and put some baby powder on it and that's how I've located the leak. The oil leak is fairlying bad but seems to be getting worse. It started with a drip and now it's a softball size puddle. It doesn't drip anything unless the motor is running the cart pretty quickly. So I guess fairly high rpm. So is this likely the crankcase gasket or is it possibly the head? How hard of a job is this? I see posts with directions. Nobody ends up reporting back how easy or hard this is. Roughly what do shops charge for this if I go that route? Thanks again.
