Dies when warm.

Got a 290 motor that's driving me crazy. Maybe I'm missing something.

Runs great for 2 minutes then starts to die.

Cleaned carb twice.
Replaced pulse line. No dips in it.
Both fuel filters have fuel in them.
Inline spark tester. Never looses spark. Not sure how accurate these are though.

I've already ordered a new carb and fuel pump. But am I missing something. Starts great cold. Can it run out of fuel because of bad pump with gas in the filters.

Tried new fuel pump. Didn't help

What year is it? and do you have a fuel shut off on the gas tank?

98 CW motor yes it has a shut off

Thanks a million. It was the fuel shut off. Back flushed it and runs great now. Had a lot of trash in it. There's also some in the tank. I cut about an inch off to keep if from sucking off the bottom of the tank

That wasn't really my train of thought, but I guess it would turn out to be the same thing!
A lot of people (especially after winter storage) only open the shut off half way thinking it's fully open,
and the results are the same... full filters, and stalling!

Well you got me heading in the right direction anyways. Thanks. I've never paid attention to see if there fully open or not. I'll double check that
