1986 Club Car DS - intake valve / tappet cover question
I had to replace valves on 1986 club car ds. Checked clearance from valve stem to tappet cover (supposed to be .004 to .008 ). Exhaust valve is fine. Intake valve is not. It has no clearance. Originally you could buy different size tappet covers to correct this. I cant find them anywhere. I believe I am left with having to file down either the tappet cover or the end of the valve stem. Which one is better to file? or does anyone know where / if the tappet covers can be found? or any other suggestions welcome.
Thanks. |

If I remeber right. Your suppose to file the tappet covers. But I don't see why either one would mater.
