Default FE290 Spraying oil from filler tube

Hi everyone I have a 1994 CC Carryall 1 with a FE290 I'm having an issue with oil spraying from the oil filler tube. I immediately thought crankcase pressure so I consulted a local small engine shop and they agreed a compression test was needed. I did the test and it came back at 170psi sprayed oil on top of the cylinder and it went up to 200psi. Any thoughts as to what is wrong? Thank you all in advance.

Is it blowing the filler tube off or are you just removing it and it's doing it. With the filler tube removed they will blow some oil

It doesn't blow the whole dip stick out but it pushes it out far enough to blow oil everywhere when driving.

Welcome to BGW Madmax!

It's time to replace your dip stick! The rubber seal has seen it's life!

It's normal for oil to shoot out the tube without the dipstick because of the crankcase pressure,
but it's not normal for the dip stick to blow out when running!

Here are a couple links for a new dip stick:

https://www.golfcartking.com/oem-clu...-oil-dipstick/

Note about your compression tests... the nominal psi for a new FE290 engine is 165psi,
So my guess is... no offense... your doing something wrong when doing the test, or your gauge is out of calibration!

Ok Thankyou very much the compression did seem a bit high for an engine with some wear on it. I appreciate all your help I'll replace the dip stick and check back in so you know for sure that was the fix.
