Default DS Cargo box install problem

I purchased a "premium" steel cargo box for my 2005 DS. Everything aligns properly EXCEPT to roof brackets. They sent me a pair of standard "stock" roof brackets and the instructions say to "reverse left and right" brackets and drill into the box to mound. I get that, but they do night line up parallel with the box. If I drill and tighten them up, they will put pressure on the roof and likely crack it in time. What's the trick? Thank you.

I'll take some and upload, but won't be home until Friday afternoon. If you have a cargo box with a roof, can you add pics?

I have a stock plastic Club Car cargo box on mine, but no roof. Maybe someone else has one.

Turns out, after several calls, that I needed strut supports that were not included. All good now!
