Shocks
How to tell when you need new shocks??
I have a 94 club car ds that I big blocked and was wondering if due to the cart's age should it need new shocks??? |

I'd assume a lot like cars and IFF I remember correctly:
1. Look for oil leaking out of it 2. Compress that shock by leaning on it and when you let off if it goes up and then bounces to settle back in place they're bad I think |

No oil leaks so far.
Will do the rebound test before I drive it again and see if they pass Just wanted to know given the cart is a 94 and I drive it a lot on the road |

Years ago I had an older car. I put new shocks on it just because they had never been changed. They had no leaks but just looked bad. Didn't change a thing, I think the older shocks may have been better. Shocks just slow the movement of the bounce, they don't stop it.

I also replaced my rear shocks and did not notice any difference before and after. I do have heavy duty springs In the rear though...
