Default Stupid analog tach question

I just installed a shiftglow tach after I found out my tiny tach was interfering with my new Bluetooth amp. I installed it as another member has done. But it seems to be reading about 700 rpm or so slower than my tinytach. I did some math and at 20mph with 22" tires and stock 12:1 gears should be around 3600-3700 rpm but I'm only showing 3000 rpm . So my question is has anyone installed a analog tach and if so how did you do it?

Ps I've done a search and have come up with a lot of results just not really I was looking for

Thanks for any help
