Pull the valve cover and see if it has adjustable rockers or not. 350 doesnt have adjustments, 290 does.

There are some 350s with adjustable rockers. I have one.

If no sticker, the size is cast into the block on the bottom left rear corner of the lower pad. It faces the rear of the cart so you'll have to get under the cart to see. And that area is usually covered in dirt.

Its a 97 without ACR. Key start.
I broke one of the rockers trying to loosen the adjusting nut to adjust the valve clearance. Had to grab one off a scrap motor I had in the back of the shop.
I thought maybe the head was swapped, but the exhaust port on the 350 head is larger, and this one has the big port.

I loved the pic showing the cast engine size of an FE290 on the rear engine base Fairtax!
And it's a perfect way to find out the engine size without a tag on the engine shroud.
BUT... Somethin' aint right! I don't mean to hijack the thread, and I don't mean to pick a fight,
Fairtax... is that pic from YOUR cart?

Because all of the info I've found on the 350's show that they have hydraulic lifters, without adjustable rocker arms!

FE290 with adjustable rockers ...

This FE350 pic is from a 1998 manual without adjustable rockers...

I have 17 carts in my care. That pic is of a 98 that we use as a maintenance cart. Had it in the shop today to pull the clutch off of it.

Maybe I have a unicorn? Lol
