Default backfiring

Some of you may remember my no spark post a coil solved that problem but know that its up and running I sometimes, more often then not, have a backfire. I noticed my throttle cable is a little kinked but the throttle appears to be closing all the way. My question is it the throttle cable or can it be that I didn't set the coil in the correct position. It also has a small hiccup when you first hit the pedal it try's to start then I hear a little pop back through the carb then it takes off fine until you slow down and start to come to a stop then the BACKFIRE. Any help would be great. And to complicate this it didn't have these problem prior to the starter/gen frying my coil

I would check your carb needle and float first, and then check the valves. If its backfiring through the carb you have fuel in the intake part that shouldnt be there and also have spark getting in there that could be caused by the valve not completely closing. Id also double check your coil clearance on the magneto. If its excessive you may be getting a slight delay in spark as its taking longer to charge the coil, or vice versa if its too close.

just to clarify it only pop back through the cab at first take off the other backfires are through the exhaust. I'm going to start with the coil since it wasn't doing this prior to me putting a new one on. If I could get anymore feed back it would be greatly appreciated.
