Default Wiring Diagram for a gas 1985 Club Car DS

I have a 1985 gas Club Car DS. The battery kept going dead as the kids rode it. I checked the usuals voltage regulator, battery, belt, solenoid and starter generator. All tested good.
It still would run until the battery died. I then would recharge it and they would ride again until it died.
I got a wiring schematic online. In looking at it there was a wire on the solenoid that should not be on it. I found a few other missed wired things. I tried following the black and white picture. Of course the cart now tries to run but the motor only turns slow. Then when I hit the gas it dies.
I am looking for a wiring schematic that shows the color of wires that goes to each device. My schematic shows the wires and no color. It was hard to follow.
Thanks ahead for the information.

Thanks Crash Test Dummy for the response, but the 1984 and 1985 are different from the 1986-1991 in your diagram.

Unfortunately that color diagram would have been perfect. Here's hoping someone has the 84-85 schematic with marked wires.

Have a good day.

This is the only 1984-85 wiring diagram I've ever seen. I assume this is the one you were looking at. Some of the wires have numbers on them, and I'll bet others are the same colors as the wires in the 1986-91 diagram if you overlaid the two diagrams.

Ok so I started making a color-coded wiring diagram for the 1984-85 Club Car Gas carts. Since I don't have a 1984-85 Gas Club Car, I'll need some help filling in the blanks. The colors I've added so far are based upon the corresponding wires in the 1986-91 diagram that either have not changed or have a matching function (I imagine Club Car would have kept the same colors for many of these over the years).

Please keep in mind that the diagram below is AN APPROXIMATION of what I believe the wire colors to be. The wires that I was not able to approximate have been lettered A,B,C,D,E, and F. If anyone can help ID the colors of those wires (or corrections to wires that I've colored incorrectly) please post here and help me complete this diagram. And hopefully the original poster (Club Car DS 85) will get his wiring issues resolved along the way.

Springbok, thanks for the help and information. You know exactly what I am trying to fix on the cart. There is a small wiring problem that is a big pain.
Using this information I will look at the switches and toggles again.
I will be out of town for work but I will definitely will let you know how it works out.

Again thanks for the help with my problem.

CC solenoids are "continuous duty",
Turning on the key switch energizes (pulls in) the solenoid, and it stays energized (pulled in) until the key switch is turned off.
(BUT... there are other limit switches that play a part also!)
