Cool 96' Gas Club Car Slow Turning over

I have a 1996 Gas Club Car with the FE350 engine. The problem I am having is it's slow to start when I press on the gas pedal. Once it starts turning over there is no issue, it starts right up. You can watch the starter motor hesitate, than it will start turning normally.

-I have a 6 month old battery that is checking good.
- I have replaced the brushes to the starter generator. The armature was cleaned off using fine sandpaper. The (windings?) inside the motor housing looked good, and I didn't notice anything out of the ordinary.

Any suggestions? Thanks in advance

No, not all...that was one of my first things to check. Had that happen couple yrs ago, replaced the belt didn't slip again. I recently adjusted it when I put the new brushes in. It has always had the hesitation, even after new belt. With no belt on it, the starter motor takes right off.

Checking at the solenoid when cranking I only had like 11.2 volts. Could it be battery? It has done this with old battery and the new one.

That seems to be ok on the voltage while cranking. Is the motor hard to turn by hand? S/G may need rebuild.

Motor isn't any harder to turn than other club car. I may need to rebuild it, or replace it.
