1993 gas club car starts then quits

my guess is no gas to the carb, on the carb at the bottom there is a hose, use a screwdriver and turn it counter clock wise, see if fuel flows out. if no change the fuel filters.

if your worried about the rev limiter hook it back up and check the connections , its on the front of the engine.

also check the voltage regulator in the black box by the battery.

Have you determined if you have continious spark after it fires and stops?

Pull the fuel line from the carb, stick the end in a bottle and spin it over, Are you getting fuel?

yes it is getting gas

OK lets go to the top, you say it starts and no fire. do you mean no spark or it won't fire up as run. Give us a better discription of what is happening.

it turns over and fires then immediatly it quits and has no fire to the plug while cranking it over if you let up on the gas and push the gas back down right quick while it is still spinning it will spark 1 or 2 times then no spark

On the front lower part of the motor there is the rev limiter and igniter. First thing to do is locate the kill wire that comes from the cart wiring harness and plugs into that area.
Unplug it and check spark again, this will tell you if the issue is caused by the cart or motor.
If still no spark, you can unplug the rev limiter and try it again,
If still no spark, you have a bad igniter or coil.

it was the rev limiter unhooked it and it runs fine thanks a lot for your help
