Default 96 club car body hitting exhaust pipe?

Hey folks, so why would my 1996 stock club car DS body be hitting the engine exhaust pipe ? I've not had this problem till I added a rear seat this past week and loaded 4 adults on it. Would weak rear springs be the cause of this? anything I can do to fix this problem short of replacing rear springs to a heavy duty set? thanks!

Should there be any type of bump stops to prevent this or just weak leaf springs causing this problem? It had a cargo bed on the cart when I bought and i replaced it with a rear seat cargo box combo unit that I fab up to work.

I'd guess weak springs. Even if there was a bump stop, would you really want to be riding the bump stop every time you're loaded up? I guess it would depend on your terrain.

If you're carrying 4 adults on a regular basis you might want a heavy-duty spring. However...if you only haul that many people occasionally then you might want to go with a new stock set (because the heavy-duty set rides pretty harsh when not loaded down).

Ok thank you. Will probably opt for some aftermarket medium duty springs. Don't carry a lot of people most time, but carry a lot cargo at times
