95 Gas Clubcar bogs every morning
So when I start using the golf cart at the beginning of the day it seems to bog really bad. So when I push down on the gas pedal it hardly moves. After choking it for a bit and warming it up then it seems to run fine. I'm not sure if it would be a gas or a carburetor problem. After using it for a bit though I can smell gas for a few minutes but goes away. Could be from choking it too much.
The other golf carts at the court don't seem to have that problem especially in the summer, but mine seems to have a hard time when I start out everyday and eventually get's better during the time I'm driving it. Not sure where to start looking. Any idea's would be great. Thanks |

Pull the carb off and give it a good cleaning pull the brass jets out and use forced air to clean them and all the passages in the carb

Re: 95 Gas Clubcar bogs every morning
Alright, I was thinking that was probably it. I think I will try a little seafoam in the gas first before I go and tear out the carb. I have been lucky with that on my 4 stroke boat motor and lawn mower. I will reply with what happens. Thanks.

Re: 95 Gas Clubcar bogs every morning
Put a new spark plug in tonight, wasn't the issue. Dumped some Seafoam in the gas and ran it for about 15 min tonight. Ill try it again in the morning to see how she runs from a cold start. Thanks

Check the breather/choke setup. If not secure won't choke.

open up the main jet in the carb about .002 to .003 Use a welding tip cleaner and GO EASY....do not take out to much!

Re: 95 Gas Clubcar bogs every morning
So I have been running my cart with sea foam in it and it has fixed my issue. So I would say the carb was the issue. It takes right off now every morning. I'm so happy. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction guys. Appreciate it.
